Online booking for dog grooming

Each salon has its own online booking page. Clients identify themselves with their phone number, choose the pet, the service, the date and the time from the free slots, and send a request. Nothing is confirmed until you approve it, and no deposit is taken.

What your client sees

1. They identify themselves

They enter their phone number. If they have a file with you, their active pets show up.

2. They choose the pet

Just one, or several if the whole family is coming.

3. They choose the service

One service per pet, from the ones you offer online, with their length.

4. They choose the date and time

A groomer if they prefer one, then a free slot. They can add a note.

5. They confirm the request

They review the summary, send the request and get a text confirming it was received.

For clients who already have a file

Online booking is for your known clients: Groomi finds their file by phone number and only shows their active pets. If the number matches no file, the page asks the person to call the salon and shows your number.

For a new client, send your new-client form instead. They enter their details and their pet’s, sign your documents, and you create their file. Next time, they can book online.

Slots that respect your schedule

Slots are offered every 30 minutes, based on the length of the chosen service. Groomi matches the online booking hours you set with each groomer’s working hours, then removes:

  • the closed days you ticked;
  • appointments already booked, except cancelled ones and no-shows;
  • recurring breaks, for the salon or for one groomer;
  • time blocks reserved in the calendar.

Clients can book from the next day up to 60 days ahead. Same-day slots are not offered online: last-minute requests go through the phone.

Several pets in one request

Pets are placed one after the other, each with its own service. The slot offered accounts for the total length, and the appointments stay linked in the calendar.

Preferred groomer or no preference

The client can pick their groomer. If they choose “No preference”, Groomi assigns the request to the first groomer free for the whole length.

Checked again when it is sent

When the request is sent, Groomi checks again that the slot is free. If two clients aim for the same time at once, the requests go through one after the other and the second gets a message asking them to choose another time. A request for a past date or outside your hours is refused.

The request becomes a pending appointment in your calendar, at the service’s base price, with the client’s note. The slot is held while you decide.

You approve each request

An appointment requested online shows in the calendar marked “Waiting for salon approval”. Open it to approve or decline; the client gets a text either way, in French or English depending on your salon’s language.

As an option, Groomi texts you two links, approve or decline, so you can answer without opening the app. These links stay valid for 7 days.

Setting up your booking page

Everything is set in the settings, under Online booking:

  • turn the page on or off at any time; when it is off, it shows a message instead of the form;
  • copy the page link, or open it to see it the way your clients do;
  • set the start and end time for online bookings;
  • tick your closed days;
  • choose, service by service, what is offered online.

The page shows in your salon’s language and works on a phone as well as a computer. Share the link on your website, your Facebook page or by text.

Questions about online booking

Where do my clients find the booking page?

Each salon has its own address, which you copy from the settings and share on your website, your Facebook page or by text. You can turn the page off at any time.

Who confirms appointments booked online?

You do. Each request waits for your approval. The client gets a text when it is received, then when you approve or decline.

Can a new client book online?

Not directly. The page finds clients by phone number. A new client first fills in your new-client form, or calls you.

Can the client choose their groomer?

Yes, if they want to. With “No preference”, Groomi assigns the first free groomer.

Which services appear online?

Only the ones you mark as available online, with their length.

Can my client book for several dogs?

Yes. They choose every pet to groom in the same request, and the appointments follow one another.

How far ahead can clients book?

From the next day up to 60 days ahead, within the booking hours you set.
