Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how Groomi, operated by Mélina Bouchard (sole proprietor), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and application.
1. What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to recognize your device and remember certain information about your visit.
2. Types of Cookies Used
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the site to function and cannot be disabled. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging into your account.

|---|---|---|
| groomi_token | User authentication | 24 hours |
| groomi_language | Language preference | 1 year |
Measurement Cookies
We load Google Analytics, to measure site traffic, and the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram), to learn which of our ads bring trials and subscriptions. We also keep, in our own cookies, the ad or link that brought you; only Groomi reads them.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| prisme_vid, prisme_ft, prisme_lt | Groomi: the first and last ad or link that brought you | 1 year (prisme_lt: 3 months) |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: site traffic measurement | 2 years |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta: measuring our ads | 3 months |
Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow the site to remember your choices (such as your username or region) and provide enhanced features.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We use certain third-party services that may set cookies:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Google (Analytics): Site traffic measurement
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram): Measuring our ads
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete those already stored. Check your browser's help section for more information.
- Ad blocker: It stops Google Analytics and the Meta pixel from loading.
- Meta ad preferences: In your Facebook or Instagram account, you can limit how your data is used for ads.
Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the site's functionality.
5. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage (localStorage) to store certain preferences, such as your display settings. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new update date.
